The role of Evolve Integration at 550 Bourke St was as a consultant to Urban Intelligence.

The project itself was 8 floors of lighting automation using the Clipsal c‐bus system. This involved 9 separate c‐bus networks. 1 network per floor and 1 backbone network used for scheduling and logic. Roughly each network had 35 units.

A Minder system was installed on the backbone network as the ‘brain’.

The role of Evolve Integration at QV was as a consultant to Intelec The project itself was 12 floors of lighting automation using the Clipsal c-bus system. This involved 14 separate c-bus networks. Each C-bus network had roughly 80 units. The networks were joined by an Ethernet backbone with a schedule plus head end. The Schedule Plus head end enabled individual control of all lighting, editing of scheduling and enabling and disabling automatic lighting in meeting rooms. The Schedule Plus machine took into account special days, as to not turn on lighting on holidays etc. Touch screens on every level were used for local control of office areas.


Australia Post

The role of Evolve Integration at Australia Post was a consultant to KLM.

One of the large features of the Australia post fitout was the use of Backup power. The Spec called for instant backup lighting in a very large area. This was achieved by having a UPS power backed up Cbus network. A Generator was installed on the premises with an input from the lighting system. A power failure relay would trigger a chain of events. As soon as power was lost on the incoming feed, all the DSI lamps were sent to ramp to 5% of their capacity and every second lamp was set to off. The generator was immediately started, and as output was brought up by the generator, the DSI lamps were ramped up to a nominal level.

This fit out was 6 networks with an Ethernet backbone and a Schedule Plus head end.

The role of Evolve Integration at Australia Post was as a consultant to Watters.

IAG was a Ethernet backbone setup with 14 floors of tenancy lighting from levels 2‐15.

The IAG fit out used the latest green technology as directed by Lincoln Scott. Lighting on each floor would only be turned on once a worker had done so from one of the touch screens. Power consumption used by lighting was kept to a minimum in areas whilst still maintain an adequate LUX level. This was achieved partly by the use of light level sensors installed around the perimeter of the building to maintain LUX levels and decrease load in high sunshine times/areas. Motion sensors were also used to keep power consumption at a minimum.

A Schedule Plus head end was used to control scheduling and logic.

Blake Dawson

The role of Evolve Integration at Australia Post was as a consultant to Watters. Blake Dawson fit out was from levels 22‐26. This fit out is 5 floors of C‐Bus and DALI lighting control. Each floor is joined by an Ethernet backbone with a Schedule Plus head end. Again the power consumption was kept to a minimum with light level sensors and motion sensors. Meeting rooms were able to be separated and joined with moveable walls. A reed switch was installed and coupled in the C‐bus network to allow the lighting to be changed dynamically according to the room configuration.
